I use to think that way, and maybe if you only plan on going stage V it’s still a good idea as there is less abuse, and it's inexpensive to get there. If you plan to go past stage V, you could buy another car for what it will cost to do a full long block, big turbos and suspension mods. When you go to sell a car with these mods, it barely adds anything to the resale. From a financial point of view, if you’re going big, it’s better to let someone else’s loss be your gain. You can still change up the wheels and add some j-spec stuff to personalize it. So are you actually looking for another Z again or just toying with the idea? I was thinking of getting a wrx to replace my civic as a winter car, but i'll be moving south, so I won't need it. Instead I can dump the money in my Z =)
